SkyHorse is home to numerous wild and domestic animals. Some of our wild friends include Red Tail Hawks, Golden Eagles, Hummingbird, Barn Owls, Great Horned Owls, Osprey, Blue Herons, White Egrets, Canadian Geese, Kestrels, Black Shouldered Hawks, Ducks, Bobcats, Deer, Rabbit, Coyote, Raccoon, Skunk and Fox. On the domestic front, our upper barn area where the cabins are set we domestic animals such as horses, goats and sheep.
Our South 40 is home to our flock of Dorset Sheep that make our special natural wool for our line of wool bedding products which includes pillows, comforters, and mattress pads. Visitors and program attendees who stay with us during their visit actually get to experience sleeping in our wool bedding and may purchase their own bedding while at SkyHorse.
Our horses live in multi-generational herds in pastures ranging from 2-40 acres. Some of our horses like Sadie and Lacey have been doing Equine Guided Education since 1989.
