EGE Documentary

Synopsis

Horses are changing lives. They are bringing people back to an era where being of value to a community outweighs material wealth. They are reminding people how the body senses and communicates far more powerfully than language and words. They are opening portals to a new understanding of self, other and relationship. They are redefining leadership in businesses and organizations. They are reconnecting people to the natural world, and to the essential truth that we are all part of a greater whole, impacting one another and evolving together.

There is now a resurgence of horses participating in society after decades of being relegated to the peripheral arenas of sports and entertainment, and horses are rejoining human beings at a level where they are once again helping us build what we can truly call a “civilization.”

Equine Guided Education is a transformative avenue for people to reclaim their true sense of self, their innate leadership qualities, and their connection to purpose in life. The founder of Equine Guided Education (EGE), Ariana Strozzi, will take 8 people, from various walks of life, a film crew of 6, and the herd of 14 horses at Skyhorse Ranch in Valley Ford, California on a 5 day journey of self-discovery, consciousness-raising, unprecedented honesty, confrontation of personal demons and reawakening to life that will underscore the power of the horse-human connection.

The Founder and Facilitator – Ariana Strozzi

Ariana’s  approach to facilitating people’s learning and development with horses as guides is truly original and has proven to be an exciting force in self-development and leadership training.  As a Master Somatic Coach, she has worked with more than five thousand leaders, coaches, shamans, healers, artists and other individuals since the late 1980’s. She is the founder of Leadership & Horses™, visionary and co-founder of the Equine Guided Education Association and Strozzi Institute (Center for Leadership & Mastery) and adjunct faculty at Institute for Women’s Leadership and Enterprise Performance.

She is a pioneer in the field of ‘Horse as Healer/Teacher’ (which includes the common acronyms of EGE, EAL, EFL, etc) beginning in 1989 with Leadership & Horses™ and eventually coining Equine Guided Education in 1999. She has been training other professionals how to incorporate horses into their professional offers since 1998.

The goal of Equine Guided Education (EGE) and the documentary film showcasing a group EGE experience is to inspire people to recognize that they can change their lives and they can change the world. There is a power in reconnecting with the natural world that awakens, renews and motivates people. The willingness and dedication of horses to connect people to that natural world, to help them recognize and take full advantage of their animal bodies, their intuition, and their belonging to a greater whole is profound.
